Sedona restaurant Elote Cafe, serving the cuisine of Mexico culled
from over 15 years of travels through Mexico by chef Jeff Smedstad.
Elote Cafe features local products such as wines from Page Springs
Winery, Black Mesa Goat cheese and Sedona area produce.
Here's what we are doing in our kitchen
We are a small restaurant doing artisanal things. We support
local, sustainable, and healthy choices in food and wine that
just happen to taste great.
I have 4 Arizona wines on my list as well as an organic selection.
We have one organic vodka as well as a vodka from Flagstaff, local
beer, Arizona goat cheese, and herbs and greens from Sedona gardens.
We are starting to use grass fed beef as it is more humane as
well as healthy, natural pork and bamboo to go containers, and
we use old grocery bags that the crew brings in for to-go food
instead of buying bags with our logo on them as so many places
do.

We are about good food first and foremost but we are also a business
that strives to do the right things.
We are chef-owned and the chef is actually cooking everyday.
This is unique in these days of chef celebrities and corporate
chefs that rarely leave their desk and are seldom seen with an
apron on.
The owner really does cook here.
Come join us for a great meal!

Elote Cafe won the TOP 25 Restaurants in Arizona Award
by Arizona Highways in April 2009!
