About Chef Jeff Smedstad
Chef Jeff Smedstad, owner of Elote Cafe located in Sedona Arizona, focuses his style on the cuisine of Mexico. He spent over 15 years traveling Mexico to learn more about the food by going to markets, eating in restaurants across the country and sharing time with families in Mexico to help broaden his knowledge and gain inspiration and insight.
He also incorporates sustainable, local, healthy and organic products into his restaurant to showcase his passion for food as well as responsible cooking.
Jeff’s highly successful Elote Cafe Cookbook, released in 2009, has sold over 8000 copies.........and counting.
His award winning cuisine has been featured in many media outlets including the Arizona Republic, Phoenix Magazine, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the Toronto Star and Sunset Magazine among others.
